SBDC

The Washington Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) is a network of business advisors, trainers, and support staff. Whitman County is served by Washington State University's SBDC advisor, Juan Garcia, who provides business advising at no cost to businesses. Washington SBDC also offers free trainings for small businesses

  • Washington Small Business Credit Initiative: multiple lending and investment programs for small businesses in Washington State. 
  • Clearwater Economic Development Association: loans for southeastern Washington businesses not eligible for other forms of financing; maximum $250,000. Call 208-746-0015 for more details and eligibility.   
  • Craft3: loans for Pacific Northwest businesses not eligible for other forms of financing; amount varies.  
  • Business Impact NW: loans for underbanked entrepreneurs across Washington State, particularly women, people of color, and veterans. 
  • Rural Opportunities Loan Fund: startup, expansion, and working capital loans for eastern Washington businesses not eligible for traditional financing.
